Pics from Annapolis Aug 2015
The +1 ran a 10-miler in Annapolis this past weekend. We also walked about 15 miles everywhere around town. So I got my exercise for the year! Here are a few pics.
+1 on the right...
The building in the boat pic is the chichi Annapolis Yacht Club. The indoor boat is a model of The Queen, used in the filming of the trip down the rapids in The African Queen, one of my all time fave movies! The film crew put little figures of Humphrey Bogart and Katherine Hepburn in the back. It is located inside Pusser's Bar and Grill, a famous Annapolis hangout. The Blue Angels plane sits outside the Navy/Marine Corps Stadium, where the Naval Academy plays all its football games. It was also the start and finish of the 10-miler.

I grew up in Baltimore and visited Annapolis often. My best friends son graduated from the Academy. After moving to Delaware we cruised to Annapolis every summer on our boats. Great pix of you guys and Annapolis.

Looks like a neat city. Never been there. Had a cousin who graduated from there.

Thanks for the pics. Never been to Annapolis. I know where the real African Queen from the movie is moored. If you'd ever like to take a ride in it, it's available.
One of my favorite movies.
