Oh my! How frustrating! I am so sorry!

(On a side note, we are still not done with our master bathroom. The mirror still needs to be put in, and now the brand new shower door is going to be replaced. There is a barely visible scratch in the shower door. We did not even notice it ourselves, but the project manager did. He is quite a perfectionist, which works well for us. It does make some things take longer, but well worth it in the end, even if there is a delay. In the hall bath, he had the tile guy redo the whole floor because the project manager thought it was not quite all squared up.)

Deb, i consider this thread to be an excellent argument against having your pipes replaced. What a nightmare.

^ Well, it actually has not been that bad. Phase 1 went very well. It's just taking Phase 2 awhile to get started!

Phase 2 now starting Mar 15. Should only be one day for the guest bath, so maybe restoration can start shortly thereafter.

Update...demo of fixture wall in guest bath tomorrow along with removal of vanity, mirror and shower door. Pics to follow along with those of the actual pipe work on Thurs. Then pipes are done until Mar 27 for master closet and May 23 for kitchen, so this thread will be on hiatus for a bit. Guest Bathroom Restoration thread will continue until the end of April.

OK...fixture wall demoed in prep for pipe work tomorrow. There will be other areas opened up for lateral pipes to the vanity. Pics of that tomorrow.

Again, I'm seeing what looks like copper pipe. What is the problem?

See first post about the problems with the copper pipes. The issue was not that they were copper, but with the connections. Poorly done when the buildings were built.

P.S. You were the third post in this thread. It's been awhile, though.

Thought the actual pipe work would be done today, but I guess it's Mon. They've been cutting and banging away above me. Here are pics of the holes after the drywall was cut out yesterday. Quite a bit to do. You can see the solid concrete pillar behind the shower wall, which is why they could not access the pipes from the hallway.
