Default Pontiac is aiming at Honda

I just saw an ad by Pontiac in our local newspaper. It is aiming squarely at Honda. The ad is for pontiac.ebay.com, and it lists:

2009 G8 GT:
Faster 0-60 and better highway fuel
economy than BMW 550

2009 G5 XFE:
=== EPA EST. 37 MPG HWY ===
Better than Honda Civic

2009 G3:
=== EPA EST. 34 MPG HWY ===
Better than Honda Fit

2009 G6 SEDAN:
=== EPA EST. 33 MPG HWY ===
Better available highway fuel economy
than Honda Accord

2009 VIBE:
===EPA EST. 32 MPG HWY ===
Better than Ford Escape Hybrid

2009 SOLSTICE GXP:
=== EPA EST. 28 MPG HWY ===
More Powerful and better highway fuel
economy than Honda S2000

Except for the G8 and the VIBE, all the rest are direct comparisons with Honda models. I have no idea what "available highway fuel economy" means for the G6. How much longer is Pontiac supposed to stay in business?

Better fuel mileage does not make a better vehicle...it just saves you gas $ for the upcoming future repairs and or to offset the higher depreciation over the competition targeted.

I'd like to find a good deal on a Vibe. It's a Toyota with (IMO) better looking body work.

The Vibe is an excellent vehicle. Good utilization of space, good ride, and dependable engine.

They can "aim" all they want. Let's see who is still standing in a few years!

The G3/G5/G6 are garbage anyone that buys one of those over a honda is cheap and/or stupid

The G8 GT is the best car in their lineup

The solstice looks like a matchbox car inside and the top is heavy and awkward to manually put up and down plus they dont hold their value
