Prostrate? No! Prostate.
Some discussions in medical journals that needle biopsies may have the undesirable effect of dispersing cancer cells (if they are present) in the body. Not sure how to avoid that and I get a variety of responses from different doctors.
More than one doc has said that in the event I get prostate cancer, if it is not the agressive type, do nothing but monitor it. The cure is worse than the disease.

Been there done that I was monitored for 10+ years with no real issues BUT then a biopsy revealed a change and off to the table followed by Radiation. Moral of the story do not ignore it and keep getting tested. The cure may not be fun but either is dying
I've had prostate cancer since before 2013 when my prostate was removed. They missed some cells so it's still there, but slow growing. The liver cancer will get me first. Or a jealous husband......
Okay. Into the hospital around 0730. Prep (IV, pulse and blood pressure monitor, EKG monitor) attached. First bit of anesthesia. Wake up at 1300 thirsty and wanting to pee. No memories, no pain. Not the waiting starts.

Hope you are doing better soon and the reports are good!
Last thing I remember was Moe the magnificent (part of the surgical team) saying "slip over a bit". After that, a really nice lady handing me a cup of ice water whileI explained loudly (and and almost continually), "I've got to pee".

except without the bug eyes part.
