My PT wasn't too bad. I've got a list of three very light exercises I'm supposed to do. I understand the purposes behind them, but my regimen is rather impractical, if not counterproductive. I have a foot flexing exercise I'm supposed to do a in a set of fifteen at a rate of one set per hour.
I guess I'm supposed to watch the clock and stay focussed on my leg for the 16+ hours that I'm awake per day.
make sure you do those simple motion exercises though, Dean.
not to preach to much, but you get a clot and you'll be a really unhappy camper.... or fertilizer for the daisies with long roots.

My tendon transfer surgery is nothing compared to what others have had done. I keep wearing my thumb splint when I sleep but have it off for most of the day, like now, so I can type. I don't think I'll have pain when my occupational therapist starts me doing exercises/stretches on Thursday, just discomfort. I can give a decent now, if not perfect.
^^ I have peripheral neuropathy that affects my hands. I have much less discomfort and can use my hands with less pain and more ease if I sleep in my braces every night. Sometimes I forget to put them on and wake up with swollen painful hands.

Yes sir. The doctor has got me on aspirin and has also got me wearing a very attractive, white support hose thing that's supposed to help prevent clots.

Martha finally managed to track down a wheelchair for me last night, so I'm working on my Raymond Burr impression and hope to be hitting the street soon.

Had a doctor visit all is progressing well. He was not concerned with the slow progress in movement, he feels I'll get the range of motion back. I was able to lose the bulky pillow under the sling. I drove myself to work today and feel like a new independent person.

More PT coming my way, over the door pulleys for passive exercise and continue with the sling, but wean off over the next two weeks.

The other arm being sore is normal and I could have some issues there, but hopefully, it will settle down once I can use the right arm again.

Good news, Lain. Thanks for that report. You know how some folks worry. Glad about that feeling independent again part too .
