There is a service for Bettye this Saturday April 19th at Stein Hospice 1200 Sycamore Line Sandusky, Ohio 44870 -- The service is at 11:00 am

Bettye interment will be at Arlington Cemetery -- But it will be several months until that service

I will post the details of that service as we are notified

Please let us know when Bettye will be laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery. As we would like to attend in our S if possible, as we did for RC Ryder.

Yes, it does take awhile. My dad's was about six weeks after he died, which is pretty quick for Arlington. One note...the cemetery is expanding in a big way. They have cleared a very large area next to Ft Myer.

Update regarding Bettye Weske’s service at Arlington National Cemetery

Bettye’s service will be held Friday August 8th at 3:00 pm

Her Daughter Ashley is arranging the details – What I understand at this time there will be a Pastor and a Military Representative for the service – Since Bettye is a spouse it will not be an honors service - but a simpler service

The family is planning to meet 45 minutes before the service in the main building

There is not a formal gathering planned for after the service at this time – But there is the possibility of meeting somewhere afterwards for food and drink --- Stay tuned

Gloria and I plan to attend -- Hoping that many others can make the trip to honor Bettye and pay respects to John

Thanks for the update and info. I will have to see how my road trip to this years S2KCA Days at Hood River, Oregon works out on the way back home. I have put it in my calendar and will keep it in mind during my return trip. But, I may not make it back home in time to attend. If not, please give my regards to John Jr and family.
