Gee! I once went almost one tenth that distance when I was about thirtheen on my Schwinn three speed with no protective gear.

Outstanding. But, as Evel would be the first to tell you - it's all about the bike and the shocks. There has been a world of improvement since his bike jumping days. You really can not compare the two.
