Thanks everyone for the congrats. I'm officially done as of today and yes there certainly will be a "to do" list! Fortunately, my wife knows about my "fixing up around the house" skills, so I should be fine. I do have the home office Terry, I'll just be spending more time in it.

It's a BIG step, but all the retiree's I've ever talked with said it was GREAT!
Way back when, when my parents retired, we (the six kids) bought them an answering machine because all of a sudden they were never home.

They weren't world travelers, they just found things to do, clubs to join, groups to make day trips with. My Mom used to say she didn't know how she found the time to work. Over the years my Dad would pick up a little part time work here and again, but neither ever looked for full time work again.

Now that I'm no longer working, maybe I'll have to change my name. I'm no longer sitting jets, just sitting.

congrats.... I think.

I'll just sit here thinking about how I have minimum 12 probably 15 and maybe 20 years 'til retirement, bitter angry and resentful and jealous ....don't mind me in the corner....
I gotta stop hanging with this crowd, giving me all these bad ideas.

I'm eligible, but won't for awhile, since the +1 has quite a bit longer to retirement. May as well keep plugging away while I'm still renovating the condo. Once I retire from my current job, I'm thinking of what I want to be involved in/work at.

My wife and I retired last summer and we have never had a day of regret. Always something to do and time to enjoy hobbies we never had time for. Life is too short and as long as you can do it, Just Do It.
