Same question Levi. Is this what you expected or planned, or is it different?

I had the same thought about how time flies when I posted this thread. I was still in my 40s when I joined this community. This year I turn 62. Priorities and interests both change over that span of years.

Absolutely no regrets.

I would say as expected Occasional days I wonder what I will do but 90% of the time it is more about deciding which activity is more appealing I have several ex-co workers who also retired around the same time One lives part-time in Aruba, one moved from Toronto to the East Coast and loves it, another renewed her Flight Instructor rating and is doing some instructing and flight testing and the last one actually went back to work parttime doing studies for municipilties regarding airport planning.

No real surprises financially other than it is easier than expected living on my pension which is around 55% of my last few years salary. No work expenses any more

We have both been retired for over 10 years. Although I do detailing, it is when I want to do it. We are in Naples for 2 moths so I can be very flexible. Happy Hour money.

I'm quite surprised it is going better than expected. I have done a little contracting work for my company but for the most part I can believe that I had time to worker a living.

I'm surprised at how many family members and friends have recently passed. That was one thing I hadn't gave much thought to. Then there are the many friends that have moved to be in warmer climates or to be near family. My social circle has diminished. I also thought I'd be driving the S more, maybe this year if the weather cooperates.
