What did you do to your boot area that changed it? I added some padding under the back console pad just for long distance comfort.

thanks

fltsfshr

It is an inverted boot made of material which totally eliminates any transmission noise into the cabin area. Yes, it is much quieter than original. As you can see I have done some serious modification to the center console as well.

I have a the Muz version and I really like this mod...
Thanks to Triple-H for tipping me off on this.
As far as shift knobs, I still say the Muz is the hands down best counter sunk ball out there.
I bought the Voodoo, had it on the car for a day, and then sold it, I hated it, it was too small and did not have the feel I wanted. The Muz not only is larger in diameter, but it has a locking screw threaded into the bottom so there is no way it can rattle, and if it is engraved it can be positioned perfectly.

This was the look I was going for

Muz

Not sure what a pistol grip is, precisely, but I put on a Momo Anatomica (short) shift knob before our cross-country drive last fall, and it'a probably my favorite upgrade. (In real life, there's much less color contrast between the knob and the boot.)

This is a lightweight knob, though, and I know that some folks like the heavy feel of those Ti (and other metal) ones -- but why, I haven't figured out. I've tried both, and I like this way better: it has vastly improved shift feel. (Anyone wanting to do this ought to PM me for a coupe of tips.) HPH

[The pattern is from a metal knob I got for my STi -- a different thread, though.]
