Ricks Team Vodoo knobs
From the first day i signed on this board, i have read about Ricks Vodoo gear shift knobs. Everyone says how much they love them and how better the counter sunk
knobs helps in shifting. I currently have the OEM Titanium knob , and it is a good one. I looked at at Ricks site and noticed that they can now be engraved with a six speed pattern. So i'm asking opinions should i get a Rick Ti knob or is the OEM Ti just as good although its not countersunk. Also does anyone have the discount code if i decide to buy one form Rick.
Thanks to all
Bill

I have a Ricks Ti knob - engraved - It's absolutlu great. It's is perhaps the best "first mod" to do. One tip - I purchased a color matched "chip mender" pen to paint in the engraved shift pattern on the knob. this works great and is easy to use. If yuou want a pic of it, I'll take one tonight and post tommorrow.
As an aside, for about the same money as the titinium knob you now have, you can purchase a "short shifter" from Rick's. There is a group buy in the market place forum, and it is getting great reviews. that shifter would lower your stock shift knob about 1" and give you better "feel" for the gear your in.

Put this mod on my car and I really do like it. I spray painted the shift pattern black before installing it.
I didn't see any value in a Ti VooDoo CS knob, but I did get a short shifter to go with my non-Ti VooDoo CS knob. If you go the short shifter routo with a CS knob, you might have to wrap the threads in plumbers tape (several layers) to get a good fit that doesn't rattle.
The big titanium ball makes a big difference. There's no need to run a short shifter, the additional countersink does the job. For me it's a much more comfortable position and the wide heavy ball make shifting easy and precise. Far better than my stock leather wrapped titanium one.
It's one of the best modifications I've done to my S.
