Default RIP John Prine

John Prine, the ingenious singer-songwriter who explored the heartbreaks, indignities and absurdities of everyday life in “Angel from Montgomery,” “Sam Stone,” “Hello in There” and scores of other indelible tunes, died Tuesday of Covid-19 at the age of 73.

What a shame. I hoped he would be able to be one of the ones to beat this crap. Saw him many years ago at a folk festival. He stole the show. Gone but never forgotten.

There have been some sports stars (or ex-sports stars) but I believe he's the first performer.

Me too. Never heard of him. Nice protest song of man destroying the countryside for progress and profit.
