Default To roll or not?

I put new shoes on "Precious" this week --18"x9/os55 and 18x8/os48 OZ Superleggras with Dunnie 225/40 + 265/35's. I think they look sweeeeet! I would show you some pics of them but it seems I ain't got the whiskers to post pics since I am only a lowly "guest". Anyways that's beside the point.

I had asked advice earlier about whether lowering the car was a viable option with the new shoes. I would say 95% said not to which turns out to be good advice. I took the "S" for a little spin along the west side of the lake, driving in a spirited fashion (not stupidly) This road is paved well enough but with lots of twists and turns, not something I would encounter on most major routes. I experienced tire rub on hard corners and dips in the road something I would rather not have. A simple remedy that came to mind was to lose a bunch of weight. I am 6' and weigh in a bit over 200 ( Okay! maybe bit more) and mostl of the rubbing is on the driver side . Hmmmm! Go figure. Barring going on a 3 year diet exclusively of raw vegetables my other option seems to be some body work.
Fender rolling has been recommended but usually by some young bucks looking to rice up their ride so I thought to ask some old f*rts like myself tempered by a few years of hard earned experience what they thought of fender rolling?

you dont need a 3 year diet to lose weight. I have dropped 60lbs + in less than 4 months.

As far as the rolling it can be done without damaging your car, just go slow at it and be careful take your time. A lot of s2000's have rolled fenders. If you think about it you cannot visibly see the difference between a rolled fender and a non rolled fender unless you look up at it while laying on your back.

I say go for it and if you need to buy a fender roller here is a link

I have the exact same street set up and use the same tire widths on the stock rims for track. Stock suspension and not lowered. I am also about 6' and 210lbs (maybe were brothers! )...

No rubbing on or off the track.

Matrix you have a 2002 S2KCDN you have a 2006

The stock spring rates are different for your years. Are you both running stock suspension?

Below are the spring rates per year for stock suspension

OEM Spring rates by year (front/rear)
MY00-01 = 218/291
MY02-03 = 240/230
MY04-07 = 256/207
MY08-UP = 274/225
MY08 CR = 375/264
