Use Ad Block Plus, no ads, though the site is still slow to load.

Ad Block

Not sure if this is different for you Mac folks.

I was going to post the exact same thing. AdBlock helps tremendously.

lately it's a 15-25 seconds pause before pages start to load.

The last time I renewed I notice it was set up for auto -renew.
I immediately cancelled. They won't get my credit card again.
As much as enjoy Dean's political wit, it's not worth paying a premium to get there.
and their photo hosting services just plain suck. It's a remarkable pain in the ass to use.

They do not offer it for Safari ... but seems they do for everything else. I doubt it's worth changing to Firefox just for that feature.

As for auto-renewal I stopped that a few years back when I heard they started it.

Auto renewal is a pain and I have to go to paypal every year to discontinue it if I want to. Just renewed recently and complained about slow loading, but got an email saying they see no probs on their end which I think is saying it must be my problem. I've noticed its gotten slower and slower.

Val, as I recall I discontinued it at this site - not paypal - and only had to do it once.

^^ I inquired of this site about it last year and they told me to go through Paypal, so I just did it again this year. Not really a biggie.

Edit: Its kind of weird, but everything seems to be loading faster now.

No, it is slower than death and twice as painful for me as well. It doesn't matter whether I use my iPad or my Mac laptop, this site's dysfunction seems to cross all platforms.
