Site will be going down in a couple hours, for an hour. (

I will be taking the site offline completely for approx 1 hour tonight at 11PM EDT to make a server software change. This is in effort of lowering resource consumption and increasing the speed and response of the site.
Change of plan. This is now going to happen at 11PM EDT rather than 8PM.

I accept that folks here have social bonds. However, the fact remains that if this implementation was done at a buiness, the whole team would have been terminated within 24 hours. I've done enough of these to know how abominable this situation is. Perhaps it's the professional in me that's upset. No, it's being treated like a second-class person that's really got to me.
