Default An S4400?

Why couldn't our S be designed with a V8? As posted, the new Morgan has one, a 4400cc V8 with 282hp, while the car boasts a 50/50% weight dist., and overall weight of 2400lbs. I think the other V8 roadsters have been a lot larger cars than ours, like the BMW Z8, Jag XK8, Mercedes, Vette , etc. Those cars measure around 180-190in., but the Morgan and S2000 are about 160in., as well as weighing 100s of lbs. less. The Morgan motor is from BMW, a 268cu.in. with 282hp. Think what hp Honda's magic engineers could coax out of 268cu.in.; if they achieved the same success as with our 4cyl. motor, the 268 cubes could yield over 500hp. Yes, I know, those other cars are hyper-expensive, except for the Vette. Chevrolet manages cost efficiency with the Vette; couldn't Honda do the same? They wouldn't sell many of them, but a V8 S would probably retire the All-Time Greatest Of Them All Sports Car trophy and certainly be worth millions in publicity.

Just wait until the new NSX's come out, then shoehorn the 5.0L (or larger) V8 that'll be based on the s2k powerplant.

There's plenty of room for a V6 Prof. Most people don't realize this, but a well designed V6 is actually shorter than an inline 4. Wider yes, but shorter.
