Anyone see the Top Gear where they reviewed the Vauxhall version of the car (I think it's most similar to the Sky)? Got a pretty glowing review.

The Miata is a car with a proven history. The past record on new models from GM leaves a lot to be desired. They do their homework on styling but seem to drop the ball in so many other areas. Reliability is still an issue to me with GM. Although they have made headway in quality I have a hard time thinking of them as a world class builder of roadsters.

I have had several new GM vehicles and have had very little problems. Never had a problem with my 98 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP that I had for 6 years before getting my S2k (well except for the dear that attached itself to my grill at speed). I still get to drive it (gave it to my mom) and it is still fast (240hp, way more torque than the S, of course 800+ more pounds too).

Rules EVERY vehicle. Never buy a first year model from any manufacturer, new or used.

I still need to buy a new GM vehicle. I looked at my GM card and at 5% for every credit card purchase, I have $3800 off on my next new car purchase. That is the original card from the early 90s that they couldn't pry out of my hands with 100 offers for the newer and less benificial one.

The Solstace was one of the cars I might have been interested in before I bought the S. It was only a pipe dream in summer 2004 and as stated, I would never buy a first year model, so I would have had to wait until summer of 2006 and who knew if it was every any good and most likely would have to had waited for the turbo as well. The most disturbing thing about the Solstace for me is the lack of storage, it looks like it has as much as the MR2 which is FRIGHTENING. I am sure the Sky as the same or less.

I have sat in a Miata...too small. The S2000 is am small as I can go. The new one I see in the commercials are looks WAY too much like an S....same rims as mine, front looks more like an S, as does the back.

They really should have centered that single exhaust or went with dual exhaust...

BTW, I hear they are already starting to drop corvette engines into the solstice .....

I don't like a centered exhaust. It looks like an anus to me.

These sales people treated us as though if we took it or not.. They really didn't care. The paperwork end of it was just as BLAH. Every time I've been in a dealership to buy, I've always had a pretty good time of it. Not with these guys. Just as dry as dirt.
Isn't that Saturn's "claim to fame" a no pressure buying experience from their dealers?
