Seat rail lock

Seat rail lock
I just discovered that my seats have a rail lock on them. I've tried contacting the person who was supplying them but his pm box is full. Does anyone have a key for this? I've looked through the car and what I have left of Bob's things but no luck.
Thanks Connie

There are, to the best of my knowledge, several designs of the security bolt head and key. You are clearly not the first, nor likely last, owner to confront this situation. I have yet to see anyone find the proper key. The two solutions that I've seen to meet an urgent situation is A) cut a slot into the head of the bolt with a Dremel or other suitable cutting tool and use a large screwdriver to remove the bolt or B) have someone weld an M14 or M17 nut to the head of the security bolt to allow its removal with a socket on ratchet wrench.
I really wish that I could be more helpful......but

I can't add anything, except to share why someone did that (from my notes):
"The S2000 seats are a hot item in the tuner market and in certain areas of the country seat thefts are continually reported stolen. Here’s a sample from the Miami Herald: Car seats stolen: Between 10 p.m. Jan. 16 and 6:30 a.m. Jan. 17, burglars entered four 2005 Honda S2000 convertibles at Rick Case Honda, 15700 Pointe West Dr. Two of the convertibles were unlocked. The burglars entered the other two by slashing the black canvas tops. Damage was $6,000. A bumper cover was damaged on one car. Estimated damage: $3,000. The burglars stole the driver and passenger seats from three of the convertibles. The seats were valued at $21,0000. The sleek, racing-style seats of the Honda S2000 are hot commodities because they are interchangeable with other Honda models such as the Civic or Acura Integra, police said."

Thanks for your response. I'm sure you are correct. Even if another owner has a key, it likely will not fit my bolt. I will have to have it removed and the suggestions you came up with have already been mentioned. I will look for a mechanic to remove the bolts and replace with standard ones.
