Default Selling the S

The time has come to sell the 04 S. I have owned an 00 and now the 04 since 10/99 and it has been 10 years of fun, pride and satisfaction. Since retiring our life style has changed and in all honesty we dont use the car as much as we should. I have an 02 Jeep Wrangler in great condition which we use on the beach to surf fish or just hang out with friends and family. I plan to upgrade my bike to a new Trek Madone 6.9 as I actively bike with a local cycling club and plan to enter some local races and charity rides as well as participate in the Senior Olympics (Cycling) which are being held in October. I will greatly miss the camradeire I have experienced on this site but even though I will be S-less I plan to check in from time to time. Thanks for the memories.

Good luck with the sale. Don't stop hanging around here though!

Sorry to see it go, but if it isn't being used, might as well sell it to someone who can also get some joy out of it.

^^ You have your priorities in the right place.

The S2000 is a wonderful car, but the time you spend riding your new Madone will benefit you in ways the car never could. Please be safe, and good luck in the Senior Olympics. There is an 82 year old man from SoCal that will riding in the Sr Olympics too.

Keep on Rollin', and enjoy the ride!

I agree ^^^. My situation is sort of opposite to yours, though. Can't seriously bike now, so I drive the S more. Otherwise I would be out there climbing hills with you.

I ride with a 78 year old guy who can hammer some guys 1/2 his age. He was a Marine who served in Korea as a sharpshooter. He rides an Orbea Orca which he just bought this year. Says it should get him through the next 10 years. Thanks for your nice comments, it was not an easy decision.

A smart decision for you. Keep in touch, though.

Hi Ray, and don't forget that you can still drive your Wrangler to meets to party with your old friends. We still owe you a bottle of wine, remember? Enjoy your retirement. I just wish I had sense enough to sell mine.
We'll never forget:

Is this the Wrangler in question on the far right?

Best of luck to you, being someone that is S-less now, this is still the best place to hang out. Keep us posted.
