I love my Honda S2000 because it's a car that was designed from the ground up for pure driving enjoyment. To borrow a line from another manufacturer it's a perfect example of form following function. Honda may never carry the prestige of small specialty firms like Ferrari, Porsche, or Lotus but as many have discovered the S2000 can do almost anything those marques can and in some cases better.

The heart of the car is the 240-hp VETC four-cylinder engine. It

Super post, Dave!
Everything you said resonates emphatically with my own feelings about the car! I just got home from a top down ride with Chris. I normally drive, but --- she wanted to drive the return. It was a great time. She needs to know why I love the car so much. She has, of course, driven ithe S2000 several times before, but you should have seen the smile on her face when she rev-ed it up to redline and felt the Gs. Hey, remember, I need for her not to object too much to my in-disgressionary spending for car toys and track fees!

I don't really feel that the differences in the AP1 and AP2 models of our car are great enough to divide the S2000 into two separate cars. There is just one S2000 -- so far -- and it is great in all of its iterations - and COLORS!

RIGHT ON, DAVE..... RIGHT ON!

And Jim, you're spot on too. The S2000 is one car. The 'tweaks' just give us something more to talk about

I spent alot of time researching this car before I bought it. I am always a late in when it comes to new cars. It has been the best purchase of my life. It is not only the enjoyment that I get by driving it, but the S2000 community and awaiting the next event.

Dave, I'm happy that we both have this car. How else would I have gotten to meet your crazy self?

My sentiments exactly. I'll likely have the car for a long time, if I don't get a NSX. If the latter, the car would remain in the family.
