My sentiments exactly. I'll likely have the car for a long time, if I don't get a NSX. If the latter, the car would remain in the family.
^And I have those same thoughts about maybe getting an NSX. I drove a So Cal friend's and loved the power. I think the older style is super hot looking and it's a Honda.

[QUOTE=dlq04,Jan 6 2008, 11:12 AM] I thoroughly enjoy exchanging information and experiences with the S2000 community through S2KI and S2KCA, especially the Vintage Forum. It

Nicely put! I passed my 8 year mark on October 23rd. I still can't believe it's been this long. I still feel like it's a new car and is just as exciting as the first year I owned it. I haven't been on this site in quite a long time. I've had some life changes and it's now time to get back into the S2000 community.

I don't know about other cars, but I find it hard to believe associating with any other group could be as rewarding as with the S2000 owners and enthusiasts. The early days of S2Ki were magical and even though there are vastly more owners, the excitement of driving this car hasn't diminished.

My biggest challenge now is getting through the New England winter without being able to drive my pride and joy. At least the first two years I owned the car were in Southern California and I took full advantage of that! There is something sweet, though about the first drive in the spring. It's almost like getting it new every year.

I'm planning on 8 more years and thousands of (s)miles.

Hey, welcome back to the fold We just returned from a trip to your lovely state....staying at a friends condo on Lake Eastman near Grantham. We got 12" of snow last Thursday but the roads were perfectly clear on Friday am.....great road crews in New England

I also passed the 8 year S2K ownership mark in late December.....having found my '00 Silverstone via a used car adv in the Philly Inquirer...only 65 miles on the odo I sold it (with 65K miles) to a good friend who just had the 90k service done....he likes it....and his +1 even more. I doubt if he's even discovered yet

Piling onto the other comments by the "S Faithful", I also offer my kudos to Dave for a great Mid-Winter post and thread We missed you at the MWG VIII

Thanks!

Yes, we've had more snow in December than any time on record (I think . .)

This is a great state, especially if you're a political junky these days. We'll be here for one year on the 12th of January.

I'm looking forward to attending some events. I've autocrossed my car a few times in the past few years, but haven't been on any S2000 group drives since we were in California (Team Irvine).

In the mean time, I guess I'll just day dream and plan for warmer days.

Just think....with another 97 posts, you can move up to 0.2 posts per day!

Just get hooked on the 'Shooting the Breeze' thread, and it'll happen in NO TIME

Lainey can also give you some tips....she's online here 24/7....even in her SLEEP

Not quite, Jerry.

I found that PPD's go up quickly, especially if you host drives/meets on a regular basis, and look to assist at other meets, as well.

Revs29K, hope to see you at this meet, in August, it's practically in your back yard.

Unfortunately, the ppd increase comes pretty slowly when you've been a member for a LOOOOOOOONG time.....like REVS29K.

Lainey, I think it's the opposite deal from those with a higher ppd......I can vege out for a few weeks and my ppd stays around 5.0
