Still on reduced hours, so arranged my schedule to take today and tomorrow off. I have a couple of medical appointments, errands to run, and hopefully if it's not too hot, I'll squeeze in a walk at a different locale so I can enjoy the scenery.

I may even use some vaca time so I can continue with shorter days at work the rest of this week.

I have decided to work full weeks for awhile. A change from the past couple of months. It did start me thinking about part time as not a bad option, but doubt I could arrange that at work. Should be a calm summer, as it stands right now!

Someday, IF I ever get to retirement, I'm pretty sure I'd still want a part time job. Since the shoulder surgery, instead of taking two full days off to accommodate the reduction in hours, I've worked a four day week, and made the days shorter. It's been easier over all.

That might be a nice option to have some day. I'd have a reason to get up and get out of the house, and still have plenty of time to myself. Whereas I don't have any real hobbies, I think I'll still need a purpose for a long time to come.

Another option is working for temp agencies. I did that years ago. You can take temp assignments, and then when you want some time off, let them know you are not available for a week or two, or whatever time you need/want.

Where are the rest of the breeze shooters?

Drove the S this afternoon, first time since the shoulder surgery. Felt GOOD! Last year I waited a lot longer to drive it as the right arm was needed for shifting, and it took a while.

It was really nice out, so I took my lunch to a local fort/beach and sat at a picnic table enjoying part of the day.

I should celebrate by getting an ice cream cone. Results of yesterdays blood work show cholesterol at 156. That is due to genetics on Dad's side. My siblings who got my Mom's cholesterol gene have not been as lucky. It's ironic as Dad was meat, potatoes, bread, butter and gravy guy, while Mom was fish, chicken and salad....

Wow after 15 years of living in Vermont I just saw my first black bear! Totally cool. It ran out of the woods and right across the access road without stopping to look. It was lucky as a logging truck came up the road about 2 minutes later.
