Yeah, I think they can change but if they're skittish to begin with they don't warm up in my experience. My Siamese cat, Zion, is still a scaredy cat and he's five now. I recently read that one great reason for TNR (trap-neuter-return) is that feral cats will never make good pets so if they get put in the system and up for adoption they will never get adopted and be caged if not put down. The Larimer Humane Society has cats that are classified as "Working Cats". You must live outside city limits and they are for barn cats/mousers. People aren't even allowed to meet them. Some are just skittish but some are biters. I've seen them adopted to be mousers.

The kitten wants to nurse! Last night it was in my bedroom so I picked it up. It kept trying to nuzzle into my neck to suck on me and it tickled so much. It tried to suck on my lips and nose. It was getting annoying it was so persistent. I finally got it just to go to sleep. It even tried to suck on Atticus's face this morning. He's having none of it, either.

He's currently in Atticus's bed.

When I was back in my early teens, I had a cat named Spice, had 7 toes in the front and 6 in the back. triple thumbed.
I have the scar on my nose to prove it. ( she did NOT want to go to the vet. )

I'm talking to a breeder. she has a litter coming sired by this guy.

We've been to Key West a few times and we always planned to see the Hemingway Estate to see the poly cats, but we always got busy with other things and never made it there yet.

Yes, that's about right. I respect cats for their independent nature. Dogs are great too but more work. I saw two stunning German Shepherds today at Boyd Lake in Colorado. I should have taken a photo. The owners are here for this
