I have around 1TB of still photos, taken over the last 25 years. I backup onto external hard drives.

That one had the full undivided attention of Roxy - and - she came over to the pc and watched every second of it. Too funny.

Those are vocal dogs! My meezer, Zion, talks a lot, too, while he walks around the house. Meezer moms says it's calling to their people. He's loud and I talk/meow back. Oh, and BTW, he's so much less skittish now in Colorado. I guess he likes having three other cats around and and that I'm here most of the time.

^3-23-2020. Zion.

Beautiful cat. They say cats create sounds to communicate with humans, but they don't use the sounds towards other cats. I know our one older cat communicates with us when she wants something, but she never says a peep to the other cat we have.

Yes, I've read that too, and agree with it. The only sounds I hear out of my cats is the thunder when the young ones are chasing each other and occasional cries and hisses or low growls, as they settle in. I'm not sure what Zion is trying to say but he's the only one of my four that carries on that way. My other three will make their own sounds to me and they're all different just like a human's voice is different. My Bengal chirps. She's a trip.

Yeah my cats only seem to communicate between themselves when they are beating each other up, and chasing through the house (thunder is a good description lol). But they communicate with the humans of the house with moans and chirps and sometimes cackling, they are funny that way, a good laugh at times. My older cat will tell you when she wants to sit on the electric blanket, my wife has her so spoiled. You actually have to pull the heated blanket out and plug it in and put it on the bed for her, then she shuts right up. I hate it when they run your life like that, but it's our fault. We still love them. lol.

My family was awoken at 5 am with the screams of our 11 year old American tabby cat - Hershey. Sadly he was going into cardiac arrest as he was suffering from a heart condition. We were giving him heart medication but we knew this day would come as our vet told us that he would eventually pass away from this condition. It was our choice to have him back at home last time we took him to the vet , so we could give him some additional loving time at home. He seemed to be doing well for many weeks, but the condition took him this morning.

My wife and son are very distraught after witnessing the event. I told my wife and son that we can take solace in the fact that we gave him an amazing life ,so much love shared over the years, he was treated so well. We saved him as an 8-week old kitten from a bush in North Carolina, as he was sleeping under my truck one evening during a family vacation. I remember the adventure like it was yesterday. We smuggled him home to Canada and he had the most amazing life with us. Even when you know it is coming it is still very painful. RIP Hershey.
