I used to want an Abyssinian cat, when I had young kids and a husband. We choked on the pricing. We went with Siamese kittens and could afford them at under $200. Now I can afford a more expensive cat like the Bengal. I'm really glad I bought her! She's sitting on my lap, looking up at me like I'm the cat's meow. She's super sweet and super active. I can tell after just 10 days that she's not going to be like any cat I've ever had in my life. Now, she's looking at the computer screen. She chases the mouse on the screen when I move it.

Very happy for you, Patty. Nothing like perky little animals! I too am an extreme animal lover. If I were alone I'd have a house full of dogs. Since I have a +1 to keep me in check I only have 2.

Those are very beautiful cats, as well. If only I had been born rich instead of pretty.

I think if I'm successful in talking Rori into getting a cat, I'm going to start checking into the rescue programs for various breeds. That's how we ended up with our dog, Dexter, and he has been a real joy.

Lainey hit the mother lode on beautiful shelter cats when she got Thelma. Those torties are gorgeous.

I love it when pets cuddle up together. How are you liking Daisy and Mr. Jingles?

I'm getting Zion neutered tomorrow. He's starting howling a bit and spraying a bit.

Gotta nip that in the bud, so to speak.

Thanks, Val. And she is a sweetie.

Dean I love the markings on Daisy. I was "this" close to taking in a second shelter kitty that looked similar to Daisy, but one litter box is enough for me.

I love it that Daisy and Mr. J. hang out together.

We have certainly gotten very fond of both! It's like Daisy thinks of Mr. Jingles as her big brother.

I'm glad your two kittens have finally become comfortable in your house. Poor Zion! Just tell him he is going to get tutored and he won't mind the visit so much.
