Elected officials in the city of Boulder, CO are considering a plan to test dog poop for DNA so the dog owners can be tracked down. If the ordinance passes all dogs in Boulder will require a DNA swipe of their mouth. If any offending dog poop is found on trails, parks, or other public areas and there’s a DNA match the dog’s owner will face a considerable fine.

I’m not saying if it’s a good or bad thing, I know that I don't like dog poop, but I'm just amazed how technology marches on and we’re swept up in it.

Give me a break! For all they will spend on software, inventory, testing and the like they could just pick the shit up and have money left over.
^Could not agree more. What a waste of taxpayer money. As much as I hate inconsiderate dog owners who let their dogs poop everywhere, this is a ridiculous solution to the problem. Since I don't live in Boulder, then at least it doesn't affect me.

^My Bengal, Talia (7 months old), is always entertaining. 4-13-2014.

^My Siamese, Zion (9 months-old) , is still a little skittish but he's getting better. He hid for 3 full weeks when I brought him home, as a kitten. 4-13-2014.

^My old girl, Crystal (almost 16 yrs-old) seems to love the outside and rolling in the sand. I had no idea until I took her with me on a trip. I think she was just thrilled to be away from the two kittens and just with me. 3-14-2014.

They are just beautiful. They make me want to go out and get another cat. We have two but I think I could become a "cat person" if I let myself go.

^I love some dogs but just about all cats. Dogs take a lot more work than cats, though. I am happy with two cats and or dogs, but I have had three of each at times, when one gets very old, and I want the youngest to have a play mate. I volunteer at Petsmart every Tuesday night with the adoptable rescue cats but I don't have any urge to bring any more home.

I could never be a volunteer for animals in need. I would want to bring everyone of them home. People, well that is a different matter.

Thank you for being a volunteer with the animals. I really appreciate people who do that.

I know he will have a good home with you!

Unfortunately, that's about all the time we have left with Mr. Jingles. His cancer is spreading and the vet has upped his pain/anti-inflammatory meds to keep him comfortable.
