Original idea for my post is from Legal Bill and OhioRacer.
Now that we have reached "VINTAGE", how many are simplifying? How many are trudging forward and accumulating? I personally am looking forward to a simpler and quieter life. Kids gone or going, mortgage almost paid off. Got my S2000! Have all the stuff I need. Still young enough to enjoy it. What do you think?

Our lives are way too complicated as it is. Simplify.

I'm not doing either. My husband and I have everything we want and it's all paid off. He's still running his own business and always talks of quitting but he'd be bored to death if he did. We still have kids in high school and will be putting them through college. What we both eventually want to do is move. We have both been in Southern California since birth so don't know where to go. Considering Colorado or Oregon.

My vote is "simplify" BUT, I suspect I'm like Patty's husband. I can't sit still. I'll need to be doing something. Hmmm...a Krispy Kreme Donut franchise?

You don't own "stuff". It owns you.
Alas, this goes for the S2k, too. I've thought a lot about the tradeoff posed by my S. On one hand, I burn a lot of cells worrying about it, washing it, parking it in safe spots, and of course paying for it. On the other hand, I derive a tremendous amount of pleasure from driving it. I'd miss the perfect drives, the Autocrossing, and the camaraderie of other local S owners.
But when all is considered, my S really is just another link in the chain.
