I next saw The Edgar Winter Band w/Dan Hartman (bass) & Ronnie Montrose (guitar) in Brockport NY in 1973. They were playing 'Free Ride', 'Frankenstein', etc.. I never did see White Trash, but 'Roadwork' is one of my favorite albums (first CD I ever got).
When I saw Edgar Winter and Leon Russell in a small club in New Jersey, one of the highlights was Edgar singing Russell's 'Masquerade' (a hit for George Benson). Another was 'Dying to Live' from Winter's 'Entrance' album. After the show, Edgar was sitting alone in a car in the parking lot. I spoke with him briefly and he signed my copy of 'Entrance'.

I just returned from an amazing holiday concert>>An Evening with Dave Brubeck at our church...of all places.
83 years old and a real vintage musician.....
....A packed house...sold out for both concerts and the Friday dress rehearsal!
In addition to a professional chorus of 100+, he was backed up by his sons, Christopher and Daniel

Well, I just returned from Simon and Garfunkel....All I can say is WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And they had the Everly Brothers on with them for a few songs. Absolutely awesome and worth every penny. Night, y'all...
Isn't it great Simon and Garfunkel got together for this tour? Lucky you. And the Everly Bros, they don't get the credit they deserve. Their talent goes way beyond their hits. I even string Everly Bros strings on the guitar I can't play.
Wow! Hard to remember. I tried to create a list one time but I'm sure I was forgetting some.
My first concert was rather memorable. Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention. My sister took me. On the way home, we drove through the Ohio State campus (High Street). It was either the night before or night of the Michigan game. Our car was jumped on and bumped etc by the unruly crowd while the police looked on. My sister was PO'd because, had this been a peace march, the reaction would have been different. I'm guessing this was 1968.
Chicago - many, many times.
Beach Boys - several times.
Most memorable concert was Chicago and the Beach Boys together in 1975(?) at Lakefront Stadium in Cleveland. Open seating. We were just a few feet from the stage. By the end of the concert, everyone was dancing and having a great time. Something to be said for outdoors...
Others - very eclectic mix in no particular order...
Santana (circa 1975 - terrific concert)
Boston Pops with Arthur Fiedler conducting
Bob Dylan
Stevie Wonder
Alabama
Restless Heart
Reba McEntire
Garth Brooks (puts on an amazing show)
Diana Ross
America
Air Supply
Rare Earth
The Association
I have fond memories of the Santana concert. I saw them at OSU, and they played almost continuously, moving from one song to the next. The next day, the reviewer in the campus paper said he disliked the concert because you couldn't tell where one song began and another ended. Duh! If you want to listen to an album, buy an album...
