Default Site Rules

Or are they even enforced?

I have 1 person on my ignore list - mikamaya. He knows this yet he continually trash talks me.

Below are some samples of his last few posts...

https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?act=S...sult_type=posts

Now I look to the terms of service that this site has everyone agree to when they sign up:

[i]You agree to not use the Service to:

a. upload, post, email, transmit or otherwise make available any Content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, tortuous, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, libelous, invasive of another's privacy, hateful, or racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable;

b. harm minors in any way;

c. impersonate any person or entity, including, but not limited to, a S2KI official, Community leader or Moderator, or falsely state or otherwise misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity;

d. forge headers or otherwise manipulate identifiers in order to disguise the origin of any Content transmitted through the Service;

e. upload, post, email, transmit or otherwise make available any Content that you do not have a right to make available under any law or under contractual or fiduciary relationships (such as inside information, proprietary and confidential information learned or disclosed as part of employment relationships or under nondisclosure agreements);

f. upload, post, email, transmit or otherwise make available any Content that infringes any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright or other proprietary rights ("Rights") of any party;

g. upload, post, email, transmit or otherwise make available any unsolicited or unauthorized advertising, promotional materials, "junk mail," "spam," "chain letters," "pyramid schemes," or any other form of solicitation, except in those areas (such as the For Sale Forum) that are designated for such purpose (please read our complete Commercial Posting Policy);

h. upload, post, email, transmit or otherwise make available any material that contains software viruses or any other computer code, files or programs designed to interrupt, destroy or limit the functionality of any computer software or hardware or telecommunications equipment;

i. disrupt the normal flow of dialogue, cause a screen to "scroll" faster than other users of the Service are able to type, or otherwise act in a manner that negatively affects other users' ability to engage in real time exchanges;

j. interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers or networks connected to the Service, or disobey any requirements, procedures, policies or regulations of networks connected to the Service;

k. intentionally or unintentionally violate any applicable local, state, national or international law, including, but not limited to, regulations promulgated by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, any rules of any national or other securities exchange, including, without limitation, the New York Stock Exchange, the American Stock Exchange or the NASDAQ, and any regulations having the force of law;

l. provide material support or resources (or to conceal or disguise the nature, location, source, or ownership of material support or resources) to any organization(s) designated by the United States government as a foreign terrorist organization pursuant to section 219 of the Immigration and Nationality Act;

m. "stalk" or otherwise harass another; and/or

n. collect or store personal data about other users in connection with the prohibited conduct and activities set forth in paragraphs a through n above.[/u]

I would say that this user is in conflict with the several of the terms of use, yet the mods/admins do nothing about this.

You all wondered why I am a guest...well know you know.

This site does not abide by it's own rules and I absolutely refuse to support this site because of this has been happening for years.

What are your thoughts on this? Should I just keep letting it go or is it time to act?

Well, he does own a Berlina Black. What do you expect? . Seriously, the guy obviously had his penis sawed off as a kid. Ignore him. Send a PM to the mods etc. and tell them the same thing you posted here. If they take no action then continue to vote with your dollars. Life is to short to be chasing the small brained people.

Marco,

The rules aren't enforced.

I'd report him to the mods, then do my very best to continue ignoring him. A few people might think he's funny or whatever that is supposed to be, but I'm betting most would wish he'd go away also.

Posts like that are the reason I rarely stray from reading anything other than Vintage.

Marco - I don't think I agree that they aren't enforced. We have quite a few threads in the CO Forum about problem members and how to deal with them. You can't post there, but have you PMed the quotes to the COs of your local forum? Also, you should PM them to Erik (cthree) and Shelley (HondaGal). I will post about this in the CO Forum if you want. And check to see whether this user has been discussed there already. Also, a user who has been ignored by other users is a prime candidate for temporary or permanent banning from the site. Post here about what you have done already on this issue, or PM me. Thanks.

EDIT: Unfortunately, there is no way to prevent a user, when banned, from coming back with another user name. But the COs/Admins usually pick up on it pretty quickly.

Marco. Sad to see this rubbish posted on the forum. Hope some action is taken to stop this stuff. Since I rarely go anyplace but Vintage, had no idea anyone posted like that.

Unfortunately the local CO and some mods know about this but have chosen to continually turn a blind eye to it...

You are safe here with us, Matrix. These issues you've shown here is probably the key reason I stay on this forum.

My local forum is undergoing some transition/growing pains lately too. I feel the same way. Month after month goes by and the forum just blogs away. Makes me grieve for the good times, great meets, etc. we used to have, but things change and I'm sure the coming year will bring some pleasant happenings. I'm sure you'll see some results as well.
