What? Baby's all grown up now? You mean we've got to make room for you at the big table? What IS the world coming to?

I was going to aim a little higher than the knees, son, a little higher!
Mental note to self: never get Granny upset at me.

Granny - Yup, it's true - I'm all grown up now - I want a chair next to you at the big table!

To the original question: It appears to me that some of the rules are not enforced strictly.

There are many examples of personal attacks (even repeated ones) on various forums I've cruised through, some descending into the abuse category.

On the other hand, a consistent pattern (which may be the case here) would fall into the harassment category, and that's obviously a big step up from name-calling in a single post or even thread.

It's not clear though, that the fact that this is your "local forum" is particularly relevant. One would suppose that you'd have a better relationship with that forum's CO than with those on the other general interest ones, though. I'm a bit surprised that the Toronto CO has let this go on so long.

But we've got bulldogs here who seem to be on the case. HPH

Yep, the case is close to being resolved (at least for now). The appropriate way to handle any issue is to first hit the Report button to report an offensive post, then to make the CO aware of the issue. If the CO does not resolve it to your satisfaction, then you can PM one of the Site Admins for resolution. I have found that the COs/Admins are pretty good about clamping down on people who abuse the site or its members. But, of course, each forum is separate when is comes to how much COs put up with. In Vintage, we put up with alot less than some other ones.

That's why this is such a popular and much visited forum. Our nonsense makes sense!

Kinda reminds me of the reputation of the nuns at the Catholic school my buddy went to -- rulers across the knuckles and so on.

Oh. Wait. Wrong thread. HPH

yup - Mindcore has contacted me and asked me what I want done.

I really don't care if they decide to ban him or not...I asked Mike to remove all the name calling, stupidity, etc. from all his posts as that should have been done right from the start.

That is good enough for me....if they decide to ban him I won't object .....
