Default Snow

The winter weather forecasts I've heard have been conflicting. Some are calling for a hard winter with lots of snow, and some are predicting a mild winter with not too much snow. What do you think the winter weather will be like?

I believe we are in an El Nina condition this year. If I recall it results in more of a wet winter rather than extreme cold, but I need to do more research on that. We are located midway between Detroit and Buffalo, 2 hours from each US border.

I love driving in snow, so deep snow doesn't bother me, I just hate extreme cold temps though. Hoping for a warmer winter and not so cold.

I would love to have a heavy winter. The more snow the better!

No snow here yet & I've seen many years we have snow for Halloween. Next week most days about 60.

I love my WRX in snow. I wish it had a heated steering wheel though

Our weather forecasters are so inaccurate that I don’t take their predictions seriously. I just wait and see what happens.

I've chatted with some of my neighbors about what may be coming this winter and we've all noticed that the hickory trees and oak trees have over-produced nuts this year which portends a bad winter. We moved further south so we wouldn't have to deal with hard winters so I'm hoping this is a milder winter. The downside to having a mild winter is that we'll have more biting insects come spring. So there is no win-win either way.
