Never thought of it before, but lately, especially on very cold snowy days, Liz and I think, "Maybe someday when the kids are out".
We're trying to do almost the opposite. We're trying to talk my oldest daughter and her husband, who live in CT, into moving here. Martha (who's never had any children) wants to be a hands-on grandma now that they have a son.

You don't even have to move that far. Here in Raleigh we get pretty mild winters, but you do get some semblance of fall and winter. The difference is that is fall starts later and spring ends earlier. And we have a bunch of New Yorkers too

Both of my sons have moved to areas that do not have much of a winter season and they both have mentioned that they really miss the cold and snow.

I would like winter much better with a good snow blower, I think. It's a lot of work to move the snow off the walks and driveway. Luckily my driveway isn't very long.

What most people see as a problem, I look at as a challenge. I don't mind driving in the snow at all. I drove for 9 hours in the last blizzard we had. I had to make a service call and the round trip normally would take 3 hours. I was lucky that I didn't get stuck at a truck stop when they shut the interstate down. I was driving a Honda then, also, my 1977 Civic. We were snowed in for 3 days.

I'm not going to put my snow tires on until the snow is on the ground. And that will be awhile, here. I really enjoy driving the S in the snow.

I tend to look at everything and find the positive side of the situaton. I enjoy my work and like to laugh at everything. Winter is like everything else....it's what you make of it. I hate being cold, more than anything else, but like Rob, I will have the top down on some of these sunny winter days for a drive.

Enjoy the snow and don't worry about. It's not depressing, it's beautiful.

I really don't mind winter. I grew up in SoCal, and have lived in the Chicago area since we moved here 33 years ago. I love the four different seasons, even when it seems like spring and fall are too short. By the time summer is over I'm ready for the crisp cold and snow of winter, and by the time winter is nearing it's end I'm ready for the greening up of spring, and the heat of summer.

I do need to get a snow blower; one of my concerns is shoveling heavy snow by hand. The older I get the harder it is, and I'd hate for me or Hilly to have something bad happen while doing that. By getting a snow blower I'll also be ensuring we have mild winters, too.

It works that way with my umbrella, also. I'm usually the only one walking around with an umbrella, if there is a slight chance of rain.

The snow blower is my other Honda.

Driving in the snow and ice is winter's one saving grace. I can honestly say that I have more fun driving in snow than driving in summer. The part I don't like is having to park it when shopping and getting out of the S.

Sad I guess. I don't particularly like snow after about the first 15 or 20 minutes. I don't like winter in general. I hate being cold.
Andy and you both. He was at the Winter Nationals yesterday (in the S2000) and all the guys were standing around in shorts and T-shirts, drinking beer, and laughing at you poor souls back east. Mike G. is from Vemont and he said he said winter back there sucks and he'd never go back. We have to put up with some crap to live here but the winters are why we stay.

BTW, Andy said there was a lot of drooling going on there. He took HIS '01 Silverstone S2000 and was showing it to the guys. Only one of them knew about them and they were all in awe and in love. They were surprised it was only around $32,000 and thought it looked to be around $60,000. Andy just held up the keys to it and said, "Mine. Mine." He's never owned a car before.

Andy and I are going to our trailer today at Kennedy Meadows where it may be snowing. We had rain last night and the snow level is supposed to be at 6,000 ft, right where the trailer is.

I'm seriously thinking of getting a Honda snowblower. Gotta stay a Honda family, right???

Driving the S last winter was a total hoot. I had so much fun with it, and people at work were telling me I was nuts for trying to drive a leetle car like that in the winter, especially since it's RWD. I took a few of them out in it and changed their minds toot-sweet.

I love the snow but unfortunately we didn't get any during this storm. The air here in the mountains has a certain crisp smell right after a snowstorm and out in the woods everything looks so clean blanketed with a fresh layer of snow. I was driving home from work Mon. night and it had snowed a little and as I passed through each Vt town on my commute they all looked like a postcard with the town commons and church steeples covered in snow.

I had a good laugh looking at the temps and snow on the TV last night. Enjoy it! I'm in the garage getting the car ready for an auto-x tomorrow.
