We are heading out towards Colorado this morning. Going to take the kids to Carlsbad Caverns in NM on the way, then drive west across NM into the mountains of eastern AZ. We will camp out Sunday and Monday nights and then continue on up the AZ/NM border region into the Four Corners. Looking forward to a couple of weeks of thin air in the mountains. Patty, when are you coming to CO? Our Verizon cell works well in the FCs...
Sounds great, Jim. Except for the "camping" reference. Are you talking tent camping?

How about sharing some recipes with us? I love spicy Asian food, Thai, Vietnamese, Hunan/Chinese, etc., but I don't think that I've ever had Korean.
Think you can make it to Alexandria, VA before Tuesday night at 7:00? The restaurant we're taking over is pretty small, but I think we could manage another couple or so..

That's the traditional way and there are a lot of kimchee pots buried in backyards all over Korea. Now the younger people go to the Asian market and buy it off the shelf. There are as many types of kimchee as there are people. We're fond of cucumber (tastes like spicy kosher dills), radish (Korean radish somewhat similar to daikon but nicer flavor) and bo sahm which is not made with red pepper per se but has finely "threaded" red pepper for spiciness. Sounds like it's time for a Korean dinner for the Vintage group somewhere.

You know, you're close enough you could make it to Annandale on Tuesday night and join a bunch of serious foodies devouring spicy Korean food. This is a $20 Tuesday so dinner will cost a max of $20 and I can guarantee you'll leave full. Anyone interested, PM me and I'll tell you when and where.

We had a meet Friday evening and had nine cars out. We all crused Woodward. How we got there is another story. I'd never used vtec on off ramps before!
Saturday +1 is Kayaking and I'm supposed to getting some things done around here.
Sunday afternoon we plan to finish painting the deck but we might go
Are you talking Woodward as in Woodward in beautiful Detroit? Home of All-American iron? I used to cruise Woodward myself a number of years ago but not in a S2k...a bright, bright yellow '67 Corvette...always good for making a few bucks on impromptu stoplight to stoplight acceleration contests.

Yes, Woodward in beautiful down town Burbank, oops Detroit.
You should come up for the Woodward Cruise, August 19th this year, we need some fresh bucks in town! You might even see your '67 Corvette and we agree bright, bright yellow is the best colour!!! And according to Bill, though he now says he's wrong, it take no long than two hours to get anywhere in the USA if your driving an 'S'.

Last time I was in Detroit, it was closed for the weekend...actually, I was on my way to Windsor to meet some friends and go to Mosport. I won't tell you how many years ago that was....suffice it to say it was a while ago..
Gee, I don't know, one bright yellow car and I was cured...then I bought a red one to make up for it...if I could make it to Detroit in 2 hours, I'd probably come...otherwise, it's going to require some thought...we leave for Madrid and Paris in early November and that may just totally blow my travel budget for the year.

Thanks for the invitation. I don't think I'll be able to make it.
