Spirits, ghosts, do you believe?
A friend last night was telling us for the first time ever she is living alone. She has experienced two episodes where she thinks she saw a shadow and felt like someone had walked down the hall. She said she had never experienced anything like this; it was weird but not upsetting.
She said nothing to anyone about the episodes. Her nephew stayed with her recently and told her that he thought he saw Grandpa and that "Grandpa was there to see Dennis." Dennis would be the newest family member.
Our friend was
We told her maybe her Dad was checking in on her now that she is living alone......
Another instance. I have a sister who has lived in many homes. At one home she told me she was never comfortable when she was alone. Often felt a presence, and not a comfortable one. I've never experienced this, so I can't say I believe or dis-believe that those who have gone before us are stopping by for a visit.

I really do not worry about whether there are spirits, ghosts or goblins. My daughter otoh truly believes and has all sorts of equipment to "detect the presence" of such things. She's been on several tours of haunted places and enjoys the hunt. I never worry about the dead. It is the live things wandering about that concern me.

More seriously, the is a religious concept called "a thin place" that I'm reading about (book for my Sat Mens Group). Wondering if anyone else if familiar with this similar "mystery" feeling

I believe in spirits here on earth. I believe our bodies are just the shell our spirit is inhabiting right now, so when we leave it behind, we are still ourselves, without this human form.
