We have another winner! The Morland Brewery is believed to be one of the oldest in that land of ancient brewers. A couple of hundred years later the MG car factory opened up there (1929). At the plant was an old demonstration MG saloon car (notice I used the proper UK term here), that was cover with paint flecks. Locals call the car "owls speckled'un." When MG celebrated is 50th year in Abingdon in 1979, the brewery brought out Old Speckled Hen for the occassion. It's become a best-selling premium ale since, even though the factory was shut down.

Since you folks are way too fast with the answers...... from the Net, hey?

And, if that one stumps you..... try this. Name the fiberglass sports car made in Israel? It's launch in the USA in 1962 failed, so they are quite rare. But, wouldn't you know.. I almost bought one. It was used, sitting in a yard along the highway; I couldn't figure out what it was, so I had to stop. I talked him into selling it but he wanted too much.

PJK3, woow. Thanks. That doesn't nail down the car but it does the driver and the time. Having spent 3 years in Paris, I could recognize the streets and I kept telling my buddies it had to be during a holiday weekend when a good share of the town goes to the shore or the country. Clearly is was at day break but I've seen many a day break in Paris when it was very busy. I was much younger then!!! Good finds.
