It came from a British manufacturer, who was an offshoot from a German company. It was fiberglass like the Corvette. It had quirky styling. A hood like an MGA. Headlights kinda like a Bugeye. A tail like a Sunbeam. A grill like a Buick. It had TR3A suspension and a V-8 under the hood. A ugly duckly for sure but it could be very competitive on the track. Only one model was ever made between 59-64. It is a?

i might have the Google skills to play, but i definitely am not sharp enough on my older sports cars to play... i'm not exactly young, but most of these questions relate to times when i was definitely pre-pubescent....

i know it was the F40, but i can't remember the basis of the name....


edit: wait... wasn't it an anniversary naming? i seem to recall that....

yup... i just looked, 1947-1987, right? 40 yrs.
