I'm convinced... OK...we'll wait on the Nov sked to see about parade laps. Thanks for checking it out.

I've been thinking some about the sked for this event. As much as everyone enjoyed the seminars last time, I'm not sure we can fit them in with everything else we have planned - three-hour drive on Sat morning, driving tour of the old racecourse, possible lap around the new racecourse, winery tour(s), dinner out (perhaps at a winery) one evening. A whole lot of stuff in two days!! Plus some nap time. What do you peeps think?

May be a wise call.
Oh, for some a trip up the hill to the Seneca Lodge for a drink at the bar should be on the list of must dos. The bar is stuffed with F1 memorobilia from the grand ole days!

The Seneca Lodge has grown up with the Village of Watkins Glen. The main lodge was built in time for the first Grand Prix in The Glen, in 1948... the first post WWII road race in America.
The Lodge's founder, Don Brubaker, helped bring the races and archery competitions to the area.
The Brubaker family still runs the resort today, providing friendly, comfortable accommodations and relaxation for guests who come back year after year.

Eric & Skip also run the Glen SCCA region auto-x and drivers ed school at Ithaca College around this time. We could play in that event if it is scheduled. Bellhurst Castle, T-burg(home of remaining Woodstock gang), Twisty out of Ithaca up to t-burg and falls, Taughanock Falls. Good luck on picking out events to do that weekend. Might consider making it a 3 day. We just have SO much to do here in upstate.

Nick - I agree that there is so much to do. I'm not sure how we are going to fit all of it in, espcially if we want to do some seminars again. I hate to forego those - they were really popular last time. We'll see - I'm open to suggestions. Maybe we can arrange for a third day and night (Sun?) for peeps who want to stay and do some other activities.
