Jersey Shore (Cape May)

Perhaps least the Jersey Shore, only because traffic to/from Eastern NJ is hell.

The Finger Lakes are magnificent country; I just hope that wouldn't be too remote for folks.

Dates: I'm pretty sure I can arrange any of those mentioned, although I think 6/9- 6/11 gets awfully close to the kids being out of school. I'm not sure that actually matters much, though.

 

Sue and I prefer Upstate NY or the Finger Lakes (1,2). Our 3rd choice is Coastal North Carolina (we love Nag's Head and the surrounding area).

Our date preference is June 9-11 or June 2-4 (1,2)

I vote Watkins Glen/Finger Lakes. That would even leave open the possibility of bringing two cars, and leaving one car and Anika at my sister's place in Binghamton, simplifying the babysitting situation.

Second place is 5 houses from Lynchburg, if for no other reason than it allows Darlene to make it. That, and that it's under the 500 mile limit for me, which is about as far as I feel I can go given a 3 year old waiting at home...

Either 2 middle weekends are doable (5/19-21, and 6/2-4/06) as of now, at least.

OK- in spite of no response to my question, I'm going to vote:

1st Choice:
Watkins Glen/ Finger Lakes (they are one and the same; Cooperstown is 100 miles farther east)

2nd Choice:
Williamsburg VA

3rd Choice:
SW Virginia (for people)

We can probably work around most dates, EXCEPT May 26/27/28 (son's formal college grad'n in Maine....altho he will actually finish in December 05)

No real preference. Since I am in Florida, it will be at least a 2 day drive for me. So the further south SF06 is just cuts my driving time. I will make my decision if I will attend when I know the location.
