I'd love to see it coincide with this event in Carlisle:

Ok, thanks Ken. I have a few ideas, but I'm not too sure how I can help out from here. Further, I wonder how much we really want to deviate form the formula. I'd like to see some sort of parking lot gymkhana, TSD rally or even a scavenger hunt/gimmick rally, but I fear the group is wedded to the "group drive" and will not be interested in any variation on that theme. Let the ridicule begin!

I had to make some plans due to a family obligation, and I'm pretty sure we chose that date as I hoped the Fling would be mid-May. We may not make the Fling.

ATE Blue - the best I ever used ........... but Continental Tires (the owners) pulled it off the USA market, for reasons I'm not sure of. But maybe like Coors it still comes from mountain springs.

I agree. But, maybe it's just my age showing. After driving hundreds, or thousands, of miles to a car meet (and doing it for OMG 40+ years), the thought of more driving when I get there is not a turn on - unless it is on a track....... but then the wife feels left out. So fun stuff without the usual follow the leader stuff is tops in my book too.

It sounds like it could be fun. Sometimes I would like to see the sights besides the tail lights of the car in front of me.

Aside from the music there's very little that I can do as well as you guys, and the event is right after the end of tax season so I won't have a lot of time but I'll come along on the practice drives and tail gun for one of the drive leaders if we have a traditional drive. If we adopt one of Bill's idea's for the drive or autocross, I'll help however I can.

Bill's "rally in a box/scavenger hunt" that we had in MA was an absolute blast though I know the logistics to do that at a Fling would be tough. We tend to arrive a day or two early just so that we can see the sights, or go on a leisurely taking drive.
