For all that came to Spring Fling I hope you had a great time. For those in my drive group I lost, I am truly sorry. If I am ever asked to lead a drive group again, and after this one this is doubtful, I promise this will never happen again. I have learned my lesson.
Other than that, Colleen and I had a great time.

You had a really large group and I'm sure that factored in too.
Your efforts were appreciated.

Steve,
Like Ken stated: **IT happens. As I explained that is how I earned the "Leaders Hat" at Spring Fling 2006. As the KEEPER of the Hat (as I have been to every Spring Fling) I hopefully will never have to bestow it upon you again for a photo op at the Saturday banquet.
FWIIW: Good judgement comes from experience and experience comes from poor judgement. And in my experience drive groups should not have more than ten cars in them. Just my .02

Just catching up...as Kathy and I just returned home last night. After departing SF on Sunday am, we drove to Wellfleet on Cape Cod to spend the next 6 days with a high school friend who owns a very neat house right on the bay at Wellfleet; weather was not great (colder than usual/ some rain off and on) but it was a great time with friends from Oregon and DC joining the party. Then we spent this past weekend with daughter Melissa in Gloucester MA on Cape Ann..departing yesterday am and surviving a hellish drive back to Philly area over rain-SLICKED roads.
Kudos to Ken for planning the SF and also to Dave and Steve for leading the #2 and #3 groups. I agree with Matt_in_VA that a group size of 10 is preferable, but it's hard to find group leaders who are willing to preview the road course when no one lives very close to a remote location Luckily, I was RIGHT BEHIND Steve and I enjoyed drafting him
