Nice deep tone, sounds like a proper sports car, not drony at all. Not much louder then stock pre-vtec. It was a good purchase IMO.

I've got the invidia and I use the silencers with it. I love it, not too loud and not too quiet. You are welcomed to try it out at the Fling

I thought about this but did not DO anything about it on Saturday or Sunday

Did Dave or anyone else actually get together any sort of organized on-the-spot sound test. I really wanted to do this...

So what are the best candidates for a better but restrained sound.....and less of the OEM blaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat

Vintage Group Buy????

I think weather precluded folks from doing this Saturday. Sunday had everyone going to the winds. Besides, the town of Mayberry might not have liked it.

I also have an Invidia and love it. My first track day with it I caused the instructor (in the classroom) to stop teaching and ask who that was....the instructor is the Chief Driving Instructor for Ferrari NA .

Given that - it is loud and it does drone, if you track it, I found it swayyed too much (easy fix - I added 2 additional hangers - problem resolved). Get the car above 5K rpm and imo this exhaust is music!

Another exhaust you should seriously consider is the Comptech. Several owners I know own this one and imo it is the best fitting exhaust out there. It has a deeper rumble to it but not nearly as loud as the Invidia....

Jerry, I was only able to listen to only one exhuast due to the weather and short time frame. George (gfactor) gave me a short ride, top up, windows down. His system sounded good. As he said, it was slightly louder than stock and easy to live with in my short test. To bad we didn't have time for some side by side comparisons.

Dave, Are you still thinking about this upgrade? I'd like to get some consensus on the 'recommended vintage after-mkt exhaust upgrade'

Of course, Kathy might cut off my credit line....already quibbling about the cost of a clear bra....err, it's for the S

Actually, Zippy was in my car at the track during FC. Zip, how loud would say my exhaust/engine was? Mind you, it was never below 6800 rpm's!!!
