I liked my dearly departed older brother's solution to tailgating. At the time of his story, he was driving an old clunker...Pontiac Sunbird or similar. Since he had little to lose from a modest rear-end collision, he told of just STANDING on the brakes quickly....and enjoying watching the car behind fish-tailing all over the road while trying to stop. He said that it worked

I have actually tried this in a more modest "tap of the brakes" fashion and it seemed to work, too.

I'd rather not have someone tap my rear end.....

I just slow down a bit... tap the brakes..... and usually they get my drift...

Or, if I'm in the Genesis.... tap the brakes, drop down a couple of gears and take off! They ain't tailgating for long!

Like the video. Could really do without the annoying laugh track.

I find that activating my windshield spray nozzles has the desired effect of hosing off tailgaters, especially if you aim your nozzles up slightly.

Can't remember the last time, if ever, I used the sprayers on the S.

I reserve mine for the aforementioned, exclusively.

I worked with a guy who mounted a set of sprayers on his trunk lid.

This work amazingly well up here in Northern VA. I use it so much I had to stop putting Rainx in the washer bottle because it was too expensive

cheers
