Default Summer Block-busters

Well, the Summer Movie Season is well under way. Is there anything you are waiting to see? Have you seen anything yet? Do you recommend it?

The only film we've seen in the theaters since Anika was born was Wallace & Gromit and the Curse of the WereRabbit, and that was because it was with her.

I'm waiting until Transformers & the new Harry Potter come to cable!

There's one I can't wait to see. I don't remember the name but it has Adam Sandler and another guy who pretend to be gay. It has something to do with keeping their Fireman benefits. The previews look hilarious. My son wants to go see the Transformers movie tomorrow, or I mean today.

I have always loved sci fi and fantasy. I read the books, and see the movies. I have very low expectations in the movies so I am rarely disappointed. I love the big effects so I am anxious to see Transformers and Harry Potter. I have yet to see the new FF4 movie but I might if it rains on a weekend. That is when I hit the theaters for the most part. Other than that I prefer my home theater and HD/Blu Ray dvd's. I just saw the two first Pirates of the Carribean movies in Blu Ray and they are beautiful and the sound is awesome. Best part of being at home, I have my favorite chair, and no noise from other audience members and my popcorn is not stale.

Not really interested in any except for Ratatouille. If you can call that one a blockbuster.

Took my son to see Transformers. I thought it would just be for kids, but I thought it was great. Spielberg did his magic with it.

How popular are movie theaters back east, any way? Is it a bigger deal in California and nearer to Hollywood? Movies are quite popular here but so many people work on them too. Acton has lots of fireman and studio workers.

I'd say they are popular. Most shopping malls have movie theaters with 6 or more screens available.

I could not even tell you the last time we went to a movie. We wait for them to be available on net flix. The price of the movie, and the snacks is a rip off, in our opinion. Even if you see an afternoon show, you go broke buying popcorn and a soda.

Not to say we don't spend money foolishly elsewhere, we just don't spend it at the movies.
