Default This summer's weather

This has been one of worst summers that I can recall in Michigan. Hot and Humid. I know that's the norm if you live in New Orleans but this is Michigan. Its even worse when you wait all winter to drive your sports car. If it is an S2000 you can always drive top down with the A/C on. I know I use to do that. But it a 59 year old MG that heats up in the cockpit without any help and has no A/C it can take all the fun out of jumping into it. Here's how bad it was for us Michiganers.

Don't you feel sorry for us?

No not really. I bet if you look at Mass we were as bad.
but yeah it was a sticky one this year. those mid-August days look like they were especially "comfortable."

Maybe in Mass, there was only "three" comfortable days in the entire month of August in Mich.

We have ben generally very hot and humid since the middle of June. Yesterday, though, was a little more extreme. We had 4.5 inches if rain in about 90 mins last night. Flooded my "flood-proof" basement. Not a huge amount of damage, but the carpet is now sitting next to my house in 2 foot strips.

Wow, that's some rain in a short time. Sorry to hear of your flooding.

Nope...it's been pretty hot and muggy here in Ohio this summer, too.

I'm ready for it to cool down somewhat, but not as cold as Emil probably has it.
