Default Supra

This may have been discussed here before- sorry if I missed it. What are your thoughts on the new Supra? I saw several of them while in Florida earlier this year but haven't seen any up North yet. I found the design a little off - putting on TV shows but found it not too bad in the flesh.

I've been wanting to check one out but the Toyota dealers near me don't keep them in stock.

I like it. It is a great all-around car, great at nothing particular, but really good at many things. Nice looks, nice interior, fast enough, good handling, it has luxury and sportiness together, It may not live up to the Supra expectations for old school fans, there is the BMW controversy, but the car has many positives.

The 2022 Supra is getting a lot of good reviews following a mild second year update. I would love to drive one.

What will be really interesting to see is if that wonderful BMW straight six develops the usual BMW issues after a few years or manages to live up to Toyota's rep for long term reliability.

I had a 1979 Supra as a company car and enjoyed it. But not as much as the 1986 one. I REALLY enjoyed it!

I saw one of the new ones today and I have mixed thoughts about the styling as I do not see it as "timeless". IMHO the S-2000, 60's era XKE's and the Avanti have "timeless" styling. My other thought is that being sourced from BMW replacement parts will be expensive. Just my two cents.

Liked the original; new one does nothing to interest me . . . but none of the new stuff does no matter the $$$$$.
