Default Surgery Update

It's been a little over four weeks since I had to have my bladder removed and a new bladder formed from my intestine. I'm happy to report that the doctor tested my new bladder on Friday and there were no leaks, so now it's on to a full recovery. I have two more weeks of light workouts (treadmill) and then I can start lifting again. I want to thank all of my Vintage family for your thoughts and prayers, they sure did work. The doctor told me I would be in the hospital 7-14 days and I was out in five. They then said four to six weeks at home but he cleared me for 1/2 day work after only one week.
My last hurdle will be coming up, they tested 14 lymph-nodes and found that cancer had spread to one of them. I meet with a urological radiologist in two weeks to determine if and how much chemo I will have to go through. My surgeon thinks just one round so that's what I'm going for.
Again thanks to each and everyone of you.

Maury

PS - So far I'm up to about 1/2 million in medical bills (thank God for insurance) but if anyone would like to make a donation please feel free, make checks payable to MMF that's Maury's Mercedes Fund, and no it's not tax deductible.

I've been thinking about you so much and wondering what the outcome was on the lymph-nodes. I'm relieved to learn just one had cancer. I'm so glad you're doing well, Maury! ((HUG))

This site is me off. Lost posts, hang ups, can't load...

I posted here previously.

Anyway, Maury, I'm so happy that you have had a better than expected and a quick recovery from your surgery.

I hope any additional treatment (if needed) is a short cycle/session,

Maury. I noticed you failed to provide a p o box for the MMF donations, so I sent mine to VNC instead. (That would be Valentine's New Car). So glad you're doing well and so hoping one round of chemo does the trick.
