At first, I thought it was pretty trivial, but then I thought, how would a Southern Baptist feel if a teacher allowed her class to name a teddy bear Jesus Christ? I guess there'd be quite the uproar and the teacher would be run out of town on a rail.
Two wrongs don't make a right.

"We" weren't there. However, I do think it unlikely that in the near future they are going to attract many Brits to come teach at their schools.

...but our foreign aid dollars are: $575 Million in 2004-2005. See this source for details.

As an American, I cannot fathom such strict adherence to "laws" that are so loosely interpreted against something that was totally innocent.

cut off the $'s!

As an American I can't fathom why some people think prayers in public schools are a good idea either. This is exactly the sort of place that leads to.

I don't think we need prayer in schools, but if you think the desire for prayer in schools is analogous to BEATING a woman and death threats for "sacrilige" then you are either obtuse or pushing an agenda. Intelligent people can have a reasonable debate on the pros and cons of prayer in schools; this incident does not demonstate reaonableness or intelligence.
