Not in the foreseeable future IMO. Too many radicals who take pleasure in murdering innocent people.

I wish I were a far wiser man who could provide solutions.
it is so easy to create misery and so hard to create joy.
Sadly there is somehow those that take joy in creating misery.

We were considering going to Europe next year after the +1 retires but there is no way in hell I will go with all that is happening over there.

My heart is heavy for those that must suffer for others' radical beliefs.

Go anyway. Don't make the killers a winner is changing your behavior. I go several times a month and have been for 25 years. I keep my eyes open and observe but frankly pickpockets are my most pressing concern. Can always PM me.

It gives me pause, also, but if I really wanted to go, I would. Just be smart about it. These attacks are not going away. The ISIS caliphate is ending and followers have been encouraged to do whatever it takes to carry out their own personal attacks (guns, knives, explosives, and vehicles running over people). There are so many soft targets everywhere. The police in Nice questioned the driver hours before his attack, but accepted his explanation for parking where he was that he was going to deliver ice cream for the festivities. Just a sad, sad state of affairs.

This is all so sad, but they are trying to do to France what they did to Egypt in crippling them financially.

By deciding not to travel, you aid their cause.

My wife and I got caught up in the refugee crisis in Hungary in the fall. We spent a very long day trying to get out of Hungary to fly out the next day amid an absolutely incredible backdrop of muslim "refugees". It was evident then to us amid the droves of people what was going on in this situation. The VAST majority of "refugees" were young men under 30 years old.

Saying that, we would travel again to Europe in a heartbeat and will. I've been to Scotland on business twice since then and have to go back in another month or two.

By deciding not to travel, you are aiding their cause. Don't do it. Resist the temptation.
