FWIW, I tried to read it, Gene. I think it probably appeals to people who get excited by new computers or phones.
I had the rare privilege of driving Rick Hesel's Model S at Spring Fling and all I can say is "holy crap". It is amazing on the inside, a proper blend of luxury, bling, and nerdism. But the real thrill comes from the accelerator pedal. It is a screamer... torque, torque, and more torque. It's like driving a big block muscle car without the sound. Very cool car, just a little out of my price range at this time.
The Mercedes B-series electric comes out next month.
It has a the Tesla derived drive train in it although only a 28kWH battery instead of the bigger 85 kWH in the model S.
I'm curious to see how it behaves.
