Default Is there a problem with the Private Messages

I just took a look at my private message inbox and got a message that I'm past my capacity. The maximum number of allowable stored messages now is 100.

The other night, with over 4000 items stored I had less than 30% of my capacity used. Now I am told that I have a maximum limit of 100. What happened?

^ Yup, that's it, Rob. You need to renew.

If I recall properly, s2ki doesn't delete anything in the interrim, so don't worry.

Thanks. Both of you are absolutely right. I didn't notice. I've now renewed and am back to normal except that I deleted all of my pms before. Oh well, they needed to be cleaned out anyway.

Thanks again.

I don't think the site admins realize how offensive the current "realize you've been demoted then deal with it" policy is.

It is quite offensive, and bad policy as well. Had I realized that my membership was about to expire, I would have renewed. I wouldn't have waited.

Also, had I realized that was the cause of the "full inbox" message, I wouldn't have deleted all of my prior pms.

The management of the board should inform members of the pending expiration and need to renew in advance. And automated pm could probably be sent and that would certainly do the trick.

We used to have a reminder...it broke somewhere along the line. It is important and the source of quite a bit of frustration from members.

I renewed the membership March. I knew it was about to expire and I tried to renew it prior to the expiration, it didn't work. I had to wait to become a guest, then renew.

Not sure if it's the same thing now.

If it's any consolation, the same thing happens to COs as well.
